Composting is the use of organic material to provide addition nutrients for soil. Please look for our upcoming special article on one local’s efforts to do this on a scale for home usage. In the meantime you can start a small composting effort by having a tub of black dirt at your house into which you put such organic material as lettuce, fruit peels, etc. and raise your own army of worms which can then be placed in your garden.
